Raised by his mother and four sisters, Wetmore is currently the most elligible of bachelors. The country star has shared that he doesn't feel he's very good at talking to women, but we don't think that's true. At the ACM Awards with Lindsey Sterling, Wetmore spoke about how he had slid into pop star Sabrina Carpenter's DMs. "I'm not too good at talking to girls," he laughed. "I don't know, I'll just figure it out as it comes, I guess."
Wetmore, who was initially discovered through TikTok, relocated to Nashville in 2020 after his college football career was cut short. It didn't take long for his songs "Wine Into Whiskey" and "Wind Up Missin' You" to go viral. This led to a bidding war among record labels in Nashville to sign him.
The singer recently released his first album, What Not To, in April 2025 and has already earned some impressive titles. Biggest country album debut by a new artist in 2025 is one of them. Currently, he's actively on tour with singer Thomas Rhett, who's making his rounds on the Better In Boots Tour.
How Wetmore's Dating Life Is Looking Now
Even though Wetmore has expressed some negative thoughts on dating, he's definitely proven himself to be a catch. Recently, the singer appeared on UpDating, a viral dating show, where he confirmed his interest in a girl named Melinda.
On the show, Wetmore shared that after having a few experiences with "mean girls," he was simply looking for "a nice woman that my mom won't send home when I take her home." It seemed like it could be a match made in heaven when he met dancer Melinda, who joined him on stage to sing a duet of his song "Wind Up Missin' You."
At the same time, the singer shared on The Viall Files podcast that his love life is "nonexistent," because he can't even fathom "being on the road" and dating someone at the same time. Wetmore shared that he views dating someone as a responsibility and that he would want to be in a position where he can give that person the time and attention they deserve. Right now, it seems like he's focused on tour and all things What Not To. However, we're certain that whenever the singer does meet someone, she's going to be one lucky lady.
