In October 2023, WWE Superstar Grayson Waller made a mistake that he's still paying for to this day. During an episode of the now-defunct web series "The Bump," Waller joked that Travis Kelce had settled "for a six" in Taylor Swift.

However, after the episode went live, Waller had the realization that Kelce may not see the funny side of his remark. During a recent interview on "INSIGHT with Chris Van Vilet," he explained how his concern came to the fore when he attended a party in Nashville...That Kelce and Swift were also attending.
"They had a party in Nashville, and me, Bayley, and Sheamus went," Waller recalled. "Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were both there...I'm thinking, 'Man, I'm going to have to fight Travis Kelce,' I've said multiple times I'll fight him. But then I saw how big tight ends are... I'm gonna win, but it's gonna be a scrap."
Luckily for Waller, or for Kelce, depending on how you view the potential outcome, it quickly became apparent there was no issue. The Kansas City Chiefs star came over for a brief chat and then went about his night.
"He didn't have to come over and talk to us," Waller said. "Super chill guy."
Taylor Swift Fans Are Not So Forgiving
If we've learned anything about the internet, it's that Swifties can be ruthless. No sooner had his comment gone live, they began to go for the jugular. And even now, two years after his offhand remark, he's still being trolled by members of Swift's fanbase.
"I have these cringe moms on TikTok who don't spend time with their kids doing videos on me about how ugly I am," Waller joked. "They were saying some wild stuff. Swiftie fans are mean."
Fortunately for Waller, wrestlers are used to playing the bad guy, or "heel" as they like to be known in the wrestling industry. Therefore, the harsh remarks likely slide right off without so much as a second thought.
Nevertheless, Waller will likely think twice before making an offhand remark about another music star in the future, especially Swift. After all, nobody wants to fight an NFL tight end.
