Yellowstone' Creator Taylor Sheridan Draws Backlash For Showboaty Appearance

Taylor Sheridan has received lots of backlash for the penultimate episode of Yellowstone, as he decided his character needed much more screen time.

In a script that screams, 'look at me! I'm Taylor Sheridan!' his small role suddenly became a huge focus of the episode. Although some other important plot threads were continued, the audience had to sit through Sheridan intermissions to get to them.

Sheridan plays Travis Wheatley, a horse trainer. For some reason, he uses the little time the show has to show Wheatley in a strip poker game with Bella Hadid. I guess because Sheridan simply wanted to play strip poker with Bella Hadid.

The internet is not happy with him wasting time by giving his character more screen time when more attention could have been paid to the plot threads and characters people really care about.

Some speculate this is an overcorrection on Sheridan's part. Kevin Costner didn't work on the second part of Season 5. So, Sheridan may have thought it was his time to shine.

Internet Reacts To Sheridan's Embarrassing Ego-Fueled 'Yellowstone' Script Writing

The internet has roasted the episode and Sheridan's script writing on every facet of the internet. They even take to comment sections in cast member's Instagram posts about the series.

"15 minutes of story and scenes wasted with watching Taylor Sheridan showboat on his own show, partying and just doing his thing. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what he does in real life too," lamented one fan.

"As if Taylor Sheridan wasted one of the last episodes of this show by inserting himself so he could parade around with half-naked women. We could have had 8 more episodes of Kevin Costner instead of this bs," another fan fumed.

"I think now we know: what caused the fall out with Costner, oh boy Sheridan wanted to be the man lol, and I sure do miss Costner editing this guy's terrible scripts," writes another.

"Where's the new main character Taylor Sheridan? ???," one jokes under Cole Hauser's photo of the cast.

"This show was awesome but Taylor's ego has killed part 2 of the series," resigns another.

The attitude is unanimous, let's just hope he doesn't mess up the final episode.
