Puck's Matt Belloni reports CBS is eyeing a new procedural set in Yellowstone's world, with Luke Grimes tapped to reprise Kayce as the lead. Deadline cautions no contracts are locked, but the idea is gaining traction. Spencer Hudnut, a CBS veteran from SEAL Team, has brainstormed the series for over a year. He's reportedly won nods from Grimes and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.
The show could spotlight Kayce's livestock commissioner role, a post his father, John Dutton, handed him. His Navy SEAL past might also fuel the plot.
