Parton took to all her social media to announce that she's looking for talented actors and actresses to take part in her musical. "I'm happy to announce the #SearchForDolly," she captioned her video calling for auditions.
In the video, she explains that her musical is a "celebration" of her life and her music. "I want to give you the chance to help me bring my story to Broadway — and maybe even play me!" she says.
Interestingly, the auditions are to be posted online, with the tag "#SearchForDolly" included in the caption so Parton and her team can find them. Also, this will help drum up a lot of public attention as auditions will doubtlessly flood the feeds of anyone who's dared mention her name within a mile radius of their phones.
"Whether you're chasing your dreams from a small town, or you've spent years performing on stages across the country, I want to give you the chance to help me," she says, giving everyone with a phone a chance.

Over a hundred auditions have hit TikTok alone already. However, I noticed that some auditions didn't include key requirements.
Those who didn't head to the website as instructed would have missed the other steps required in the auditions.
To properly audition for Dolly Parton's new musical, you must post a one-minute performance of you singing a Dolly Parton song after an introduction of yourself and where you're from. Use the "#SearchForDolly" tag on your post, also.
When doing this, make sure to also visit the website to fill out the application. In the application, a link to your video or the video itself must also be uploaded.
If you simply throw a video up of you singing, you will not be considered.
Minors can also apply, although their videos shouldn't be posted online. They can be sent privately with the application. Naturally, consent from a parent or guardian is needed in this case.
So what are you waiting for? The deadline for auditions is January 12 2025. So you have some time to perfect your audition to make sure you send your best effort.
