Singer Jelly Roll got really honest with fans while on the "Need A Favor" Australia tour. "Today I realised that I'm singing it for both of us, because this is the first day I woke up a little not okay", he admitted. "The message of music is so, so powerful...That the way music has this unique ability to meet us exactly where we are in that moment of our life, right then, that those three minutes can help us, right when we need it at the absolute most."
In the middle of his speech, a fan shouted out, "We love you, Jelly!" and the singer got teary-eyed. "I said I wasn't gonna cry in Australia! But I love y'all." That fan commented on Jelly's Instagram post, saying she felt the singer needed a little extra encouragement. "I'm the girl who yelled We love you, jelly," the girl, named Bonni, shared. "You could see across the stadium show and this show that he was struggling and needed some love. The little pout brought tears to my eyes. His music has helped my mum through tough times so to show that love back in such an intimate way was something I'll NEVER forget and I'm so grateful that @novas_red_room caught this video."
This was Jelly Roll's sixth show in Australia on the "Need A Favor" tour. He performed at Nova's Red Room, a smaller and more intimate venue.
Jelly Roll Shares Advice That Got Him Through His 300 Pound Weight Loss
When people like Jelly Roll have such an incredible success story, it can be easy to forget that artists are human, too, and go through a lot of the same things we do. In a recent interview, Jelly Roll opened up about his weight loss journey and some of the things he learned along the way. The singer had a lot of great advice about making consistent changes in your life and the reality of seeing changes through.
He told Joe Rogan, "We grossly overestimate what we can do in a year and we underestimate what we can do in a decade. You will grossly overestimate what you can do in 90 days, but underestimate what you can do in a year when it comes to your health." He also admitted, "I started taking this mentality of: I don't lose, I learn. We might screw stuff up, but we don't just lose; we learn something valuable."
Since starting his weight loss journey in December of 2022, Jelly Roll has lost over 300 pounds.
