Zac Brown Band made a detour in Pennsylvania to visit a fan who was paralyzed just weeks earlier and unable to attend the concert.

According to People, 17-year-old Thomas Schoettle is a huge Zac Brown Band fan. He'd planned to go to their concert on July 14. Schoettle's plans quickly changed due to a tragic diving accident. He's still in the hospital recovering.
A family friend had reached out to the band on Facebook, explaining the situation and hoping they could make time to visit.

"My sons best friend who is 17 years had a serious accident recently," Anthony Mela Sr wrote. "His name is Thomas Schoettle. They get tickets and go to your concert every time you come to the Philadelphia area. You are his favorite band. Unfortunately, on 6/27/17 Thomas dove into an 5 foot above ground pool and suffered a severe spinal cord injury and is paralyzed. At 17, the reality of the possibility of paralysis for the remainder of his life is difficult to accept."
He went on to ask the band if could make time to visit Schoettle in the hospital. Just a few days later, Thomas got the surprise of a lifetime.
