Zac Brown Fires Back at Fans Calling His Shows “Satanic”: “A Bunch of Horse Sh**”

Zac Brown is clapping back at the people who claim his Las Vegas residency shows have been "Satanic." Here's what he had to say.

If you haven't been paying attention, Zac Brown's new Las Vegas Residency is all anyone's been talking about this week. And let's just say, most of the chatter isn't positive.

Playing The Sphere has only been done by a handful of artists, and certainly not that many in the country music circuit. What separates this venue from others is that The Sphere is meant to create an immersive experience. With a massive interior screen containing over 250 million pixels, and a sound system that can deliver bass right through the floorboards, it's not only a high honor to play there, but also a treat to see in person.

At least, that's what Zac Brown thought it would be. Now, after hearing critics and audience members label his show as "satanic" and "demonic", Brown had a few things to say after his show on Friday.

"Thank y'all for such an incredible, incredible night tonight," he said after wrapping. "I want to say a little something about this show, 'cause there's a lot of people that pick it up online saying that we're doing some kind of satanic ritual or something like that. I don't think we can put any more love and light into a show than what we put into this one right here, ladies and gentlemen."

There's nothing to be concerned about here, according to Zac.

Why Are People Calling Zac Brown's Shows "Satanic"?

Back in July, Brown took to Instagram (in a now-expired story) to share his excitement about the new residency, which he called "a dream come true."

Brown shared, "This show is the story of my life that I have never shared, a journey through my imagination, music and stories that have defined who I am. All of this brought to life in the incredible immersive environment of Sphere. It will be a unique experience where you can really feel every note, every word, right there with us. We can't wait to share it with the fans."

Turns out when he said "unique experience," he wasn't kidding. Since the show began on December 5, fans have had a lot to say about Love & Fear. Some of the comments concern the "heavy metal" twist Brown seems to be putting on his music lately, but others have a lot to say about the visuals.

"The Devil went down to Georgia and possessed Zac Brown..."

"Ohh my god, what happened to zach [sic] brown? That's not country, that's not American. That's evil, that's weird."

"This is pure evil."

Now, Zac Brown is clearing up the rumors, and he's inviting fans to help him by doing the same.

"I think there are forces out there that don't want this message to get out," he said on Friday during the band's second round of shows at The Sphere. "So, if you get a minute, drop somebody a comment or something online that's trying to say that we're trying to worship the Devil, which is horse s***. You know what I'm saying?"

He wrapped it up with a note of gratitude. "Thank y'all for the love that you give us. Thank you so much for giving us our jobs and our life and music. We're so grateful to be here."
