Zach Bryan Jumped a Fence and Nearly Fought Gavin Adcock at a Country Music Festival—Here’s Why

At the Born & Raised Festival this weekend, Zach Bryan had some things to say to Gavin Adcock. Here's the latest on what went down.

A lot of people were eager to see Gavin Adcock at the Born & Raised Festival in Oklahoma over the weekend, but Zach Bryan didn't seem too excited. Before the show, Adcock got a video of Bryan yelling at him from behind a chain-link fence, a display he claims he didn't have "a single reason" to respond to. Some people are wondering about the nature of this petty fight, while others believe it has to do with an online feud that began back in July. Here's a quick timeline to catch you up to speed.

It all started when Gavin Adcock took to social media to criticize the way that Bryan was interacting with a young fan. Bryan had refused to take a picture with a 14-year-old girl, telling them, "You're not entitled... to a picture or a hello." Adcock responded to this on X, stating, "If you can't handle the criticism of a 14-year-old, why do people idolize you?" He also went on to say that he didn't think Bryan was that good a person, saying the singer "puts on a big mask."

Just this weekend, Bryan decided to take things up with the "Run Your Mouth" singer in person. Videos online have surfaced of Bryan standing behind barbed wire, daring Adcock to fight him. "Hey, you wanna fight like a man, come open the gate." Eventually, the singer resorted to desperate measures. Bryan went so far as to hop the fence, and needed security to hold him back from attacking Adcock himself. Meanwhile, Adcock stood idly by, not seeming too interested in fighting back.

Gavin Adcock Responds to Zach Bryan Incident

Gavin Adcock decided to take to Instagram to address what had happened. He started his video backing up what he'd previously said in interviews. "Like I already said, I don't think Zach Bryan's a very good person." He claimed that Bryan had seen Gavin when he first got to the festival, but went around asking other artists where he was. He also said he wasn't planning on fighting Bryan, and "missing going on and disappointing fans that spent way too much money to be there."

The singer also shared a reel of Zach behind the barbed wire on Instagram, with the caption, "When you get death threats from Sack Cryin before you headline in his hometown." The video shows Gavin on one side of the fence, with Zach on the other, clearly getting upset and trying to get a point across. What the point was, we're not entirely sure.

We hope that eventually, these two artists can work out whatever issues they seem to have. But for now, it seems like Bryan needs to avoid "jumping" to conclusions, literally. As for Gavin Adcock, well, it doesn't seem like he's gonna be any less rowdy any time soon.
