Zach Top Singing Merle Haggard's 'Ramblin' Fever' Has Me Feeling Nostalgic

Zach Top has performed a wonderful Merle Haggard classic, "Ramblin' Fever." Haggard wrote and recorded it; it dropped in 1977. Per Whiskey Riff, Top stepped up to the mic at a local watering hole, the Music City Bar and Grill, and swung into the song, giving it his all. According to the outlet, "Top walked right up to the microphone and began to sing Merle Haggard's 'Ramblin' Fever.' Talk about a classic pick. ZT sounded incredible as the bar visitors quietly listened to him perform, enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime Tuesday night."

This Song By Country Music Legend Merle Haggard Seems To Be A Favorite Of Zaxh Top's

"Ramblin' Fever" often shows up on Top's setlists. He appears to be very attuned to the music of the 1990s. It shows in his thoughtful interpretations of those bygone classics. Per the outlet, Top said, "Obviously, I've got sonically, a reminiscent sort of thing going on from the '90s stuff. But I kind of...I feel like I cut my teeth on the same kind of stuff the '90s guys cut theirs on."

He is a proud and talented proponent of traditional country standards. Per Whiskey Riff via Billboard, Top explained, "For one thing, I'm honored that people see me as sort of a spearhead or a leader back towards traditional country music or country music the way that I fell in love with it and, you know, still love. It's a fun spot to be in, and I think it's a lot of just the right place at the right time sort of thing."

It seems like Top has an album in the pipeline. Maybe it will feature some classic country gems like this one. Kudos to him for keeping these marvelous songs alive for a new generation of listeners and music lovers.
