The Night Rider, 1962, is a TV movie that was only half an hour long. Johnny Cash played Johnny Laredo, a night-riding gunfighter, who happens upon a camp of a crew.
In the short film, Johnny Cash plays the role of a character who undergoes some serious character development and quite an emotional arc.
Although The Night Rider was the pilot to an anthology series, it never got picked up, so sort of became a solo short film you can purchase from the Johnny Cash official store.
'Kairei'
Kairei is a real deep cut. Roughly translated to "Adrift At Sea," this 1983 Japanese film "tells the story of three real-life soldiers who made an unintended trip to the Pacific Northwest."
In this hour-long film, Johnny Cash plays the part of a trading magnate. I have absolutely no idea why he took this role; there's something oddly funny about it.

In Gene Autry, Melody of the West, 1994, Johnny Cash plays the part of the narrator. Although this isn't a screened role, this film is a documentary on Gene Autry.

The Hunted may be his most under-the-radar film, as although he stars once more as a narrator here, he isn't credited for it.
