On August 12th, Taylor Swift announced her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl, via the New Heights podcast. We all know Swift has been known to hint at projects in advance, and she wasn't about to stop now. Here are some of our favorite Easter eggs for the new album, which we should have seen coming all along.

1. The Color Scheme
First, let's start with the obvious: The color scheme. The Life Of A Showgirl features a color scheme of oranges and teals, which many fans find surprising. However, Swift had already hinted at this on her Eras tour. In her last show in Vancouver, instead of exiting through a door attached to the floor, she used an orange door. Also in her "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" music video, Swift features a dance number with background dancers holding orange feathers. Many fans think this is a nod to the era to come.
2. Music Video References
Many fans look for references to Swift's future projects in her music videos, especially the "Bejeweled" music video. In the video, Swift is seen going up to different floors via an elevator, and each of the floors represents a distinct era of her career. When she goes up to the 12th floor, she's shown wearing a very "showgirl-esque" outfit, complete with feathers, glitter, and rhinestones.
