It's been a brilliant week for new country music, dear reader. It's been a genuine struggle ranking the myriad of songs released this past week. Make sure you check them all out before New Music Friday tomorrow when even more songs are to be released.

If you missed it, go back for last week's top releases. I think I genuinely found my favorite country song of all time.
Our Spotify playlist has also expanded with the following five top songs for your listening leisure.
1. Made For Moving On
"Made For Moving On" by the Kentucky Gentlemen takes the top for this week's very competitive ranking.
I haven't been able to get this song out of my head. The soft vocals, catchy tune, and general vibe secure the song as a certified banger.
It's hard not to love it. Their unapologetically original take on country is here to stay. And for any new fans, they have an album dropping on June 6!
2. Left My Heart in Texas
"Left My Heart in Texas" by Sammy Arriaga is a beautifully classic tune.
Just try not to sway here. Everything about this song pays homage to traditional country. The twangy voice, the story, and the mention of beer, this song has everything classical fans need.
It's a beautiful tune that makes you want to hold on to your beloved.
3. The Giver
"The Giver" by Chappell Roan is far more catchy than I thought it'd be.
The pop icon wanted to pen a fun country song as that's what she was surrounded by as a child, and she delivered. It's simple, it's fun, and as always, she provided some stellar vocals.
With this country earworm, she really got the job done.
4. Hot Chicken
"Hot Chicken" by Drew Green is a bop and a half.
I can't express why, but I find the tune hilarious and easy to get down to. I think I enjoy the song more than I should be, but to hell with it.
It's a brilliant tune that celebrates the simple pleasures in life.
5. Video Games
"Video Games" by Abby Cone is a slow song about heartbreak.
I'm not typically partial to such songs, but "Video Games" sat on my mind. With its mellow yet powerful vocals, it's sure to resonate with many out there.
It's short, bittersweet, and simply good.
Honorable Mention - The First Rodeo EP
The First Rodeo LP by Onoleigh presents five country songs that are all good. I could hardly choose one to pick for the ranking, so thought to instead just shout out the entire LP.
I think my favorite is "First Rodeo," but "High Standards" grows on me more and more with each listen.
That settles it for this week. I hope to see you next week when we go over even more brilliant new country releases.
