Television viewers prioritize authenticity in the shows they watch and love. If a TV drama, say, is filmed on a Hollywood sound stage disguised as Miami, people balk at being expected to believe the gussied-up, small screen make-believe. So with that in mind, it's refreshing to learn that the people behind 911: Nashville are doing their best to elevate the series' level of realism. The Music City has its own unmistakable vibe, heritage, look, and lore. Hopefully, that will come across clearly in the show. If it does, the public will appreciate it and keep tuning in.

Per popculture.com, "Unlike parent series and fellow spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star, Nashville will not be filming in Los Angeles. Instead, it is actually using Music City as its backdrop." Hooray for them for making that extra effort to be genuine! Another entry in the 911 franchise, 911: Lone Star, was done in Los Angeles. The setting was intended to simulate Austin, Texas. That show wrapped up permanently back in February.

At that early stage of development, other cities seemed to be jockeying as the primary locale. Colorful destinations like Las Vegas and Hawaii were rumored to be possibilities. But happily, Nashville won out.
