Lainey Wilson Says Friends Are More Excited To See Her Boyfriend Than Her

It's important for your partner and your friends to get along, but in Lainey Wilson's case, it seems they like her boyfriend more than they like her. However, this is a good problem to have.

Wilson sat down with Vanity Fair to discuss Yellowstone and her life in general. In it, she spoke about her boyfriend, Devlin "Duck" Hodges, and how well her friends get along with him. She also talked about her latest album, Whirlwind released in August, and about the love songs directed toward him.

The song "4X4XU" is about their love story and is by far the most listened-to song on the album, so it seems her fans are also fans of Duck.

When speaking about him, Wilson said that Duck enjoys the industry events and meeting all her famous friends. "It is a very fun experience, and he keeps it fun too. He's just the kind of person that don't take life too serious," she said.

"And the truth is, all of my artist friends, everybody from Luke Combs to Hardy and you name it, they're more excited to see him than they are to see me," Wilson admitted. "I'm fine with it. At least I don't have to convince them to like him!" Ain't that the truth.

Wilson Opens Up About Her Boyfriend

Lainey Wilson had such glowing things to say about her boyfriend, Duck. One of the biggest compliments is just how quickly she was able to write the song "4X4XU."

Wilson said that it usually takes around six hours to write a song, with some revision and tweaks required the day after. "4X4XU," however, only took 30 minutes.

"I'm very proud of that song, and we actually wrote that song in 30 minutes, which is crazy for me because I don't write songs in 30 minutes," she said. "That one just fell out of the sky, and it just felt right and it flowed."

For her thoughts to be so clear on the subject that it wrote itself tells you a lot about their relationship, and how happy they are.

What makes this even better is that all her friends like him, too.
