Cole Hauser, who played Rip Wheeler, spoke with PEOPLE about the end of Yellowstone.
Primarily, he said that he will "miss" the "unbelievable cast" of the show. Considering how close the cast were, and considering how long they've been doing this for, it's no wonder he'll miss the friendships he's formed.
"It's been an unbelievable experience the last couple of weeks of just seeing people out and about and their acknowledgment of the show and the character and what it's meant to them," Hauser told the outlet.
Hauser also spoke about the future of the story, reflecting on how much people enjoy the show. "I think America has spoken. They still love the show. There's obviously just tons of people that every Sunday get together with their families, and we give them the experience of taking 'em out of their own living rooms and putting 'em in Montana and entertaining them," he said.
"And I think ultimately it's just that simple."
Cole Hauser Hints That 'Yellowstone' May Not Be The End
It's a fairly popular rumor now that we will get a Rip and Bet spin-off now that show's over. Although that still hasn't been confirmed, Hauser expresses that spin-off content is the natural next step.
"We will see what happens over the next year or so and we'll see what's next. Hopefully, we can continue to get in people's living rooms and entertain them the way we have over the last seven years," he said.
Although Hauser uses "hopefully," he speaks as though he knows more than he's letting on.
"For me, to be able to do that, to educate people, enlighten and entertain them is always the dream," he also shared.
Now that we know Rip and Beth have their own ranch, their setting is perfect for a future show. I guess we will be seeing some sort of announcement "over the next year or so," so stay tuned.
