Trump Supporting country artists feel like the most persecuted people in the world. Jason Aldean is the most prominent and vocal example out of the field. However, it looks like more and more artists are fully bearing their support for the 'Make America Great Again' president. With Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts performing at his inauguration, country artists are slowly starting to embrace their conservative political beliefs. Travis Tritt and John Rich think we need more people like that.

Recently, John Rich and Travis Tritt called out country's big hitmakers to embrace their support of Donald Trump. John starts by saying that Carrie Underwood is far more courageous than the rest of the pack who keep quiet. "There are several top tier country artists who support Trump, and I wish they'd finally have the balls to come forward and be counted. Ain't nothing outlaw about keeping your mouth shut to appease the record label. Carrie Underwood is making you look like a bunch of sissy boys," Rich tweets.
Travis Tritt Stands By John Rich's Conservative Stances
It's funny when country artists try to rebrand what an 'outlaw' means. It's the antithesis of authority and injustice. It does not mean to defend the acting president at all costs. Moreover, this is far from what guys like Kris Kristofferson stood for in their time. These artists were never lapdogs for the U.S. government. It's crazy how guys like Travis Tritt and John Rich have altered that perspective to merely mean contrarianism.
Regardless, Tritt stands by what John Rich said on Twitter. In a separate post where Rich tells Brad Paisley and Garth Brooks to "grow a pair," Tritt agrees with what was said. He expresses that country artists don't truly need to fear some industry backlash and to stand up for themselves. ""I'm so glad to hear someone finally talk about this! If you are a Trump supporter in our industry, you have nothing to fear but fear itself. Don't be afraid to speak up for what you believe in," Travis writes.
