So, what did Grande do? Well, like an Instagram post, of course! Ariana liked a photo posted by Evan Ross Katz that showed Underwood singing with former Vice President Kamala Harris in the background, with a troubled expression on her face. "Kamala Harris evoking Coco Montrese ("Girl, find the note") watching Carrie Underwood at today's chilling Inauguration," reads the post.

"She ended donald and carrie simultaneously," one user wrote. "She's always on the right side of history," a second user wrote. A third one said: "She's not afraid to throw some shade when it feels deserved."
However, many others also expressed their support for Carrie Underwood and her performance. Some even criticized Grande for her Instagram interaction. "The girl who cries over what others say about her...is shading another female in her same line of work? Not a great look," one user wrote. "Yet if someone shades her she will make a 10 minute video telling her fans to be mindful of how they speak about others," a second user said. A third one said: "Carrie did an amazing job under the circumstances."
Tech Issues
During Underwood's performance, which took place after Trump's first presidential address on Monday, there were some technical issues with the music track. Moments of awkward silence and even some audio glitches made the scene uncomfortable for many. However, Carrie Underwood decided to perform "America the Beautiful" as a cappella. "If you know the words, help me out here," Underwood said beforehand.
Underwood, however, later felt dissatisfied with the technical issues and the space of the venue where she performed. An insider revealed that Underwood felt "she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration" that previous performers received, according to the Daily Mail. These other performers include the likes of Beyoncé and Lady Gaga.
However, the insider revealed that Underwood was satisfied for how she was able to handle herself on stage, managing to save the performance.
