The star singer found her rise to fame after winning the first season of American Idol. After 20 years, she's found herself on the judging end of the show. Although that's been met with backlash since performing at Trump's inauguration, she'll remain a judge.

To celebrate this milestone, and to document her journey, Carrie Underwood is starring in Idol To Icon. The first episode of the series will premiere on March 4, five days before the latest series of American Idol is set to air.

In a way to promote Idol To Icon, Carrie Underwood has read a passage from her journal that she was keeping when she was a contestant on American Idol. She shared a clip of her reading to her YouTube.

"I just have to keep in mind that it will all be worth it and the life I've started will be great," she started. "Most importantly, I have to remember that this has all been my choice and it's something that I wanted ever since I was a little girl"

"Right now I'm just trying to live in the moment and appreciate it all. I never dreamed that this would all happen to me. I love it."
