Miranda Lambert is baring her soul in an unreleased song from 20 years ago. Lambert just dropped "I Don't Love Here Anymore," written 20 years ago, for her debut record, Kerosene. The song didn't make it onto the project, but is now being released in honor of the 20th anniversary of the album.

Lambert announced the news on social media earlier this month.

"This album changed everything for me," Lambert says of Kerosene. "It's where my journey truly began, and I can hardly believe it's been 20 years. Releasing Kerosene on vinyl for the first time—and sharing a never-before-heard song from that era—feels incredibly special. I can't wait for y'all to hear it and relive the fire that started it all!"
Miranda Lambert Finds True Love
The song is about the end of a relationship. With lines like, "What good are these wings if you don't wanna fly? / Why share these two rings if the sorrow's only mine? / I don't know about you, but I've lost what I came for / It's an alright place to live, but I don't love here anymore," the song is about the heartbreaking end of a marriage.
Although Lambert had yet to experience that kind of loss at the time, "I Don't Love Here Anymore" proved a bit prophetic. In 2015, Lambert and Blake Shelton divorced after four years of marriage. Her current single, "Run," was written during that time period. Fortunately, Lambert was able to find true love, with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, whom she wed in 2019.
At the time, McLoughlin was a New York City police officer. But now that they spend much of their time in Nashville, her husband is much different than when they met.
"He is very patient and he is very chill," Lambert tells Taste of Country. "He wasn't as chill back then, because he was fresh out of New York City. Like, they just roll. I mean they're hardcore."
"But I think him being in Nashville for the last five years has like — we've kind of met in the middle," she adds
