Kristin Cavallari has opened up again about her former husband Jay Cutler. While she was in the young marriage, she became a shell of her former self. And when she left it, she lit back up again.

The TV star sat down with Bunnie XO on her Dumb Blonde podcast, where they spoke on her past marriage with bodybuilder Jay Cutler. They shared three kids together in their marriage that lasted from 2020 to 2023.
Although they did "everything" they could and worked hard for the relationship, ultimately, they didn't work out. She's since gone on to say that the relationship was "toxic," although she doesn't want to speak too ill about the father of her children.
Talking about their time together, Kristin Cavallari recalled a comment her mom made after they split.
"As soon as I got out of my marriage, I remember even my mom saying to me [she] had no idea how bad it was," she started. "I was a shell of who I was, and immediately I got my spark back," her mom told her.
Those in a toxic relationship won't necessarily notice how they've changed because of it. It's easy to get consumed by the relationship and not regard yourself as an individual anymore.
One big contributor to their failed relationship was just how young they were, however.
Kristin Cavallari Believes You Shouldn't Marry Before You're 30
Bunnie and Cavallari commented heavily on how young they were. When they got together, Kristin Cavallari was only 23, and Jay Cutler was in his late 20's.
They both admitted they were both pretty young, and said how young relationships are pretty doomed.
"You both don't know how to navigate life," Bunnie said after saying that young marriages like theirs typically end up being toxic.
"You shouldn't be allowed to get married before age 30, quite honestly," Kristin Cavallari half-joked. She laughed, "You don't know who the f--k you are at that age."
Although I don't quite agree, what I can appreciate is people who don't have themselves figured out won't do the best in a marriage when they're so young. It happens frequently, and Kavallari and Cutler's marriage showcases this.
