BigXthaPlug Teams Up With Bailey Zimmerman For Debut Country Single, 'All The Way'

BigXthaPlug is making the move to country music. The rapper teams up with Bailey Zimmerman to release "All The Way," BigXthaPlug's first venture into country music. The song comes after BigXthaPlug released his successful sophomore album, Take Care, out last October. In addition to "All The Way," the two hitmakers also teamed up for their own merch collection as well.

Zimmerman is clearly a big, big fan of BigXthaPlug.

"Being on a BigXthaPlug song wasn't on my bingo card this year, but ..." Zimmerman writes on TikTok.

The new song is also the start of a new chapter for BigXthaPlug, who is also working on a country album, joined by "some of the genre's most influential voices," per a press release.

BigXthaPlug's Journey Into Country Music

Zimmerman isn't the only country artist BigXthaPlug is working with. He was previously seen in the studio, teaming up with artists like Morgan Wallen and Ernest. For the Texas native, the collaborations make perfect sense.

"Why not go into country, where I know I got a lot of support?" BigXthaPlug tells Billboard. "People like my brother, Shaboozey, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone. We've been working already, so let's put it in a project, and see what we can do."

"Shaboozey's my brother," he adds. "We text almost every other day. I was just in the studio with Post Malone, so it's coming.

BigXthaPlug makes a compelling argument for making a country project, even if it might seem like a bit of a switch for him.

"It's the difference between somebody that does hip-hop, a rapper, and an artist," he says. "People like Beyoncé, me, and a bunch of other people who have been able to do it, are artists. You can't just hold them in one lane, 'cause that's like telling a painter, 'You can only paint red apples.' No, he's an artist. He's gonna paint a bunch of things. Of course, there's going to be some hate about it."

Fans fortunate enough to get tickets for Wallen's Sand In My Boots Festival will likely hear Wallen and BigXthaPlug together, since BigXthaPlug is part of the lineup, along with Zimmerman, Post Malone and more.
