Roast Master Jeff Ross Hospitalized And It's All Thanks To Ice Cream

Jeff Ross, the comedian, ended up in the hospital this past weekend, and it's all because of an allergic reaction to ice cream. The 59-year-old "Roastmaster General" shared photos of himself hospitalized on Instagram. His mouth looked red and swollen, denoting a nasty allergy attack.

This occurred after his opening night performance for his show Take A Banana For The Ride in Mill Valley, California. "Afterwards, me and the band celebrated with some Burata ice cream at a restaurant down the street courtesy of the nice owner," Ross revealed.

Despite describing it as delicious, his "lips blew up," resulting in the comedian spending the night in the ER. Strangely, Ross admitted it was the first allergic reaction he has ever had. It makes you wonder what in the burrata ice cream would make him react like that.

His second photo shared was the fancy dessert, and it definitely had a lot more ingredients than just ice cream. Typically, burrata ice cream contains burrata cheese and milk to replace a typical egg yolk mixture in ice cream. This restaurant's recipe looked like it had a myriad of other ingredients, some of which looked like nuts.

"I guess that's pretty remarkable considering I'm constantly shoving whatever food is in front of me into my face," he continued. "Thank you to the overnight shift at MarinHealth Medical Center for only roasting me a lightly."

The comedian then announced he would be back on stage the night after his terrifying allergic reaction. He said he'd do this "DESPITE LOOKING LIKE MICKEY ROURKE at the end of 'The Wrestler.'"

"I WILL BE TAKING A NAP AND BACK ON STAGE HERE IN MILL VALLEY NEAR SAN FRANCISCO AT 730pm TONIGHT," he confirmed.

Although we know that Ross is back on stage in better health, he never confirmed what he reacted to in the recipe. Perhaps this will be a good opportunity for him to get allergy tests done to avoid more reactions in the future.

If you're a fan of comedy shows, Ross will be back on tour on May 16 in Los Angeles, California. Ross is known for his incredible celebrity roasts in shows such as Comedy Central Roast and Historical Roasts.
