Miranda Lambert has a new duet out with Ernest, but one of the co-writers is pretty surprising. The two talented singers just released "Another Thing to Love," a classic country song that is reminiscent of music from the genre decades ago. The song was written by country music aficionado and newly-minted country star, Post Malone.

Post Malone penned the track with Lambert, along with Lou Bell and Ryan Vojtesa. "Another Thing to Love" is from the just-released Cadillac Sessions album, featuring Ernest, Chandler Walters, Cody Lohden, and Rhys Rutherford.
"We didn't hold anything back. There is a timeless Americana feel and the old-Nashville mentality of 'write your songs' - and those guys wrote their songs," Ernest says of the project. "They all love classic country the same way I do, and we're also with the times of the modern era - we ride those waves really well, too. I'm just happy to shed a little light on what they're able to do."
Miranda Lambert's New Song
"Another Thing to Love" isn't the only song Lambert has out right now. She recently released "Run," a song from her Postcards From Texas album. Lambert is the sole writer on the honest and pensive track.
Lambert reveals she originally wrote "Run" for her 2016 The Weight of These Wings era, but wasn't ready to release it until now. The song is seemingly Lambert's response to the end of her marriage in 2015 to Blake Shelton.
"I wasn't ever ready to perform it until now," Lambert says on Today's Country Radio With Kelleigh Bannen. "That's what songs are for. And you may not be ready at that one time to sing about something really raw... but then it can come back around." The Texan goes on to say that the song is "an admission of human error too...It's an apology, but it's also a resolve."
Lambert and Shelton might have had a lot of heartache when they split up, but they are both happily married to other people now. Lambert married former New York City police officer Brendan McLoughlin in 2019, while Shelton married Gwen Stefani in 2021.
"He is very patient and he is very chill," Lambert boasts to Taste of Country. "He wasn't as chill back then, because he was fresh out of New York City. Like, they just roll. I mean they're hardcore."
