Ella Langley Says She's The Reason Riley Green Keeps His Mustache

Lots of artists have that trademark look that makes them instantly recognizable. Willie Nelson has his two braids, usually underneath a bandana. I've never seen George Strait without a cowboy hat on. Elvis always had his usual outfit and massive hairdo. Similarly, it's hard to imagine Riley Green without his signature 'stache. Maybe it's the secret to swooning all the ladies. Who knows? Regardless, apparently, we have Ella Langley to thank for turning Green's mustache into his official look.

Recently, Ella spoke at a press event before her big night at the ACM Awards this last Thursday. There, she talks about her smash hit "You Look Like You Love Me" and co-directing the video. Particularly, she talks about those signature looks that burn into peoples' brains. For her, it's her bangs. "I do not think I can get rid of the bangs. I don't think I would now, it really does fit my face," Langley says. "It's funny, now that I see myself without them, I'm like, ugh, who is that? Plus, who needs botox when you gave bangs."

Additionally, Ella looks at Riley Green and how his mustache has become a part of his look. It would be jarring to see him without it. Apparently, her affinity for old westerns made her plead with Green to hold onto his 'stache, at least until they wrap up filming. "I will tell you, everyone's excited about Riley's mustache, you can thank me for Riley's mustache, other than God, I guess, and his parents," Langley says. "The 'You Look Like You Love Me' music video, I co-directed that, and I just knew I wanted it to be an old western. and one thing about my dad, he was watching old westerns or a war movie's on Sunday's after church.

And so I just grew up watching them, and I love them, and it really does feel like, when I was listening to the song, I just thought of it in a bar, kind of how an old western is. I told Riley that he could not shave his mustache off at least for the music video," Langley adds. "And so here we are still a year later he has it, it's great. I don't think he can get rid of stache, either. We're stuck this way."
