Reba McEntire will be back on The Voice. The news was announced on social media, revealing that McEntire is returning for Season 28, along with three former coaches. Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé and Niall Horan, who will join McEntire this fall.

Although McEntire has yet to speak publicly about her return, she was a big fan of being on the show, and being on TV in general. McEntire was replaced for Season 27 by Kelsea Ballerini, likely in part due to McEntire's role on the hit NBC comedy, Happy's Place.
McEntire left a sweet and encouraging note for Ballerini, who made her coaching debut in Season 27, which is currently ongoing.
"Dear Kelsea, I heard you would be the new coach this season and I'm just so excited for you," Ballerini recalls (via People). "It's up to you to keep country alive on the show and I know you'll do a terrific job. Now go out there and show those boys who's the boss."

McEntire took the spot left vacant when Blake Shelton left The Voice, after appearing on the show for the first 23 seasons. Although Shelton did an outstanding job, the role was first offered to McEntire, who turned it down.
"It is very true," McEntire reveals on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen (via People). "It was a very popular show in Holland, I'm pretty sure, and I watched the tape, and I said, 'No, I'm going to pass on that' because I don't think I could ever be able to tell somebody that they're terrible or go find another job or hope you like your nighttime job. I couldn't do that day in and day out. I just couldn't do it, so I did pass on it."
McEntire may or may not have regretted the decision, but she insists Shelton was the right person for the show.
"Blake was the perfect choice," she says. "He's done a wonderful job."
A premiere date for Season 28 will likely be announced soon. McEntire won Season 25 with Asher Havon.
