Everybody seems to have it out for Zach Bryan at this point. I have to imagine, where there's smoke, there's fire. This isn't merely an isolated incident with the country crooner. Either he just has horrendous vibes, or he acts in a questionable way behind the scenes.

Regardless, John Moreland can't stand him. When Bryan landed a massive $350 million deal for two albums and his publishing (sold separately), John was the first person to trash it. "$350 [million] is a lot to pay for the f---in off-brand version of me. Y'all have a great day," he wrote at the time.
Consequently, Zach saw this outrageous hate and obviously took exception. But instead of spending too much time throwing barbs back online, he mostly shrugs it off as childish. Additionally, he removes his duet with Moreland from streaming, opting to eventually put up a new version of the song when it's ready. Now, John is opening up about what possessed him to call out Zach Bryan in the first place.
John Moreland Says He Would Never Appear on a Zach Bryan Record If He Were Asked Today
Recently, the country singer posted on his Instagram story to further detail his dislike of Zach Bryan. There, John reveals that his first impression of him wasn't all that great either. Then, in the times that followed, things got progressively worse. It paints Bryan out to be intensely problematic at best. "At this point, I've hung out with him five, six times. I don't like this motherf*****. Am I supposed to be upset? If I was asked to be on the album today, I wouldn't do it," Moreland says.
I don't want to be on an album with a dude who is a d***head to my wife and my friends right in front of me every time I see him... a dude who I've heard tell borderline racist jokes more than once. I don't want to be on an album with a dude who brings a 19-year-old girl in the bar, and then when they tell him she can't be in there, looks at me like I'm supposed to have his f***** back, I don't like that person," Moreland continues. "That's who thinks I'm an a**hole? Fine. As far as I'm concerned, getting kicked off a Zach Bryan album is way f****** cooler than being on a Zach Bryan album."
