Kelsea Ballerini is ready for a break. Ballerini just wrapped up her first season as a coach on The Voice, a job she loved, but left her little free time, thanks to her ongoing career in country music. Now, the 31-year-old wants to do a lot of nothing, for at least a little while.

"I need a break!" Ballerini says on Today With Jenna & Friends, where she served as a co-host (via Rolling Stone). "And I've never been able to say that before, but I really think it's just time for me to pump the brakes, figure out what's next, have a summer, what? Go to the beach? Learn to cook a new meal, hang out with the dogs. So that's kind of my agenda."
Not that Ballerini will likely take too much time off. The "Baggage" singer admits she has trouble staying still.
"Every time I say that I have time off, something happens. But I'm very open to whatever is out there," she adds.
Kelsea Ballerini's Relationship With Chase Stokes
Ballerini also wants to spend more time with her longtime boyfriend, actor Chase Stokes. With two busy careers, Ballerini wants to soak up as much time with him as possible.
"I think that's our couple goals for the year. It's going well. Lots of laying in bed with red light masks on," Ballerini says (via People). "'Cause I feel like that's funny. It makes you hotter, I think, and it's ambitious to do. So it's kind of three birds, one stone."
Fortunately, even if their jobs take them in different directions, Stokes is nothing but supportive of Ballerini.
"I look at love really practically now, and somehow it's my favorite version of it," Ballerini tells People. "I didn't really have an example of what a solid relationship looked like in my developmental years. I learned the hard way."
"Now my version of love that I've found, it's steady and it's human, and we work on it," she continues. "That, to me, honestly, is the sexiest thing. Like, 'Hey, you want to go to therapy? Let's go to therapy.' Being so down with your person to put in the work for each other and individually, it's a very new kind of love for me."
