Clint Black Cancels Show Hours Before It Started Due To Illness

The country scene is not doing great when it comes to concert cancellations. The past week, there have been a small handful. And now due to Clint Black falling unwell, yet another last-minute cancellation has happened.

Clint Black, 63, was set to perform at the Helena Civic Center, Montana, on June 1. Due to what must have been a rather rapid escalation of an illness, however, the show was cancelled mere hours before it was set to begin.

The announcement was

posted to social media. "Unfortunately, Clint Black has been hit with the flu," they wrote. Nothing else about his condition has been shared. At his age, such illnesses are more serious, so it is no wonder the show has been cancelled.

Per Parade, the cancellation was only hours before the show was to begin. Just like the Brooks & Dunn and Jason Aldean cancellation at Fenway Park a few days ago, people were already in town for the show.

Time was taken off work, accommodation was paid for, and hopes were raised.

Instead of postponing the show, refunds have been issued to ticket buyers, like with the recent Jon Pardi cancellation. Which was also due to illness, so there is certainly something going around.

Mixed Reactions Stem From Last-Minute Clint Black Cancellation

Under the Facebook announcement of the cancellation, fans and would-be concert-goers shared their thoughts. Some were upset by it, and others simply wished the singer well.

"Get well soon Clint!" exclaimed a fan, a testament that is echoed by many others.

"I hope you are better for next Sunday. that is when I am going to New Haven Ky. to see you. If not I will understand your health comes first," supported another.

"This is a real bummer. Especially after having this pushed to June from February! Hope you feel better soon. Would have appreciated rescheduling, my husband and I have been looking forward to this for months," complained a third, referencing the concerts Clint Black was supposed to have in February.

"Well, I guess I'll just be 'killing time' in Helena," a jilted fan half-joked, referencing a Clint Black hit.

"I am leaving here, a 'bitter man,'" referenced one more.
