NCIS: Hawai'i star Jason Antoon is still upset over the cancellation of the show over a year later as he shares a picture that will sadden fans.

It's not only the fans who are affected when a show gets cancelled. The cast and crew of the show may also be upset, especially the actors who would have really identified with their newfound family. And Jason Antoon, who played Ernie Malik, the Cyber Intelligence Specialist, took the loss hard.
On June 6, Antoon posted a short video clip to X. Over the video of an empty studio, he wrote "Hawaii Film Studios - Empty and full of weeds. #NCISHawaii #MagnumPI #Hawaii50 #Lost."
Seeing the apparently abandoned studio would be a sad sight for any fan of the show. To know that not only was it cancelled, but there is nothing going on in the studio anymore.
NCIS: Hawai'i was cancelled in April 2024 after a few seasons. It was a huge hit, but apparently not big enough.
When the show was cancelled, Antoon wrote, "This business is brutal and makes no sense. But we had soooo much fun. Love you all and mahalo," under a post on his Instagram. A year has passed yet he still feels the upset.

The empty studio isn't just a sad sight for Antoon, however. Fans took to the comments to join in Jason Antoon's mourning of NCIS: Hawai'i.
"I was thinking about NCIS Hawaii today. It was such a good show on so many levels. Interesting and believable characters. Engaging plots. Beautiful scenery. What a mistake to cancel that show," wrote one. It's clear that the show is still on people's minds.
"This hurts my heart on so many levels! Love to you all!" exclaimed a supportive fan.
"Absolutely tragic," simply put a third.
"So sad, I loved all of those shows and the beautiful photage of Hawaii they provided," reflected one more.
Who knows? Maybe after the public display of mourning after over a year will the big wigs that the people want more NCIS: Hawai'i. Maybe, just maybe.
