After 7 years, former American Idol judge Katy Perry has ended her engagement with Orlando Bloom. Their relationship has recently been on the rocks thanks to career pressure. And it appears their relationship couldn't survive the turmoil.

This may not be the first time Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have split up, but it's certainly looking like the last time.
A source close to the couple turned to Us Weekly to spill their personal tragedy to the world.
"Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable," they said. "It's not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life."
It was recently reported that their relationship was strained due to Katy Perry's career struggles. It was revealed that the negative reviews on her Lifetimes tour and the poor reception of her album. I don't reckon the public backlash for her space expedition has helped her stress levels, either.
The source continued, saying that the split has been "a long time coming." Their relationship has "been tense for months."
Although the tour has been keeping Katy Perry "distracted," it hasn't done enough to prevent the pair from splitting.

According to an insider that spoke to the outlet earlier this month, the pair have "grown apart and aren't living the same lives anymore."
A separate insider shared that the couple's inner circle has been aware of this breakdown for a while. "It's an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now," the source said. "Everyone around them knows."
Apparently, Bloom has been keeping this matter "close to the vest." Although he has been "out and about more often" after Katy Perry's Lifetimes tour began. "Katy has been very busy working, and they are apart often."
