Fans of the incredibly talented actor will be very pleased to know that he's got a long-standing spot in Taylor Sheridan's extensive filmography. A behind-the-scenes photo of Sylvester Stallone and Samuel L. Jackson was shared to Instagram, so we can see a glimpse of how Jackson will look.
According to CBR, it has already been revealed that Samuel L. Jackson is playing a character named Russell Lee Washington Jr. Aside from his name and looks, however, we know nothing about the character. How he'll get along with Dwight Manfredi (Stallone), though, remains to be seen.
Not only will this Washington Jr. be in the third season of Tulsa King, he'll also be in the spin-off show NOLA King (Sheridan sure does love his spin-offs...).
Under the photo, Stallone wrote, "Finally got to work with the great Samuel L Jackson on Tulsa King. It was a great day!"
You can see Samuel L. Jackson on the set of Tulsa King below. I have a feeling that Jackson is posing precisely how his character would. So, glean what you can from the character from that indiscernible stare.

Samuel L. Jackson's character will lead the NOLA King spin-off after his introduction in Tulsa King. Just as Tulsa King is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, NOLA King is naturally set in New Orleans. Dave Erickson will be writing the series (Sons of Anarchy, Mayor of Kingstown).
I can only imagine that something has attracted Russell Lee Washington Jr. from New Orleans to Tulsa, and after the third season is over, he'll be heading back to New Orleans. Whether he's seeking assistance from the General or is there on business, I do imagine his time in Tulsa will provide a situation that leaves him racing back to New Orleans.
Samuel L. Jackson is an incredibly talented actor, and I can't wait to see what he'll do with the character.
