The WWE world has been exploding recently. Or at least that's what it feels like with everyone who has been joining.
I feel like ever since Logan Paul joined celebrities have been throwing themselves in the mix. Wasn't Brady at a recent event? And didn't he tear up a Manning jersey while there? I don't know; the details are fuzzy. Needless to say, it sounds like there is a new member in the WWE world. A country star that no one was expecting. Welcome to the ring, Jelly Roll.
Jelly Roll Is Becoming A WWE Star?
Well, I don't know about a full-on star. But he definitely has the acting chops for it.
Thanks to a recent episode of the Pat McAfee Show, we know a whole lot more about the artist's debut fight. He'll be taking the ring with Randy Orton and fighting against the aforementioned Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.
The show didn't just rehash information we already had, though. Mr. Roll actually gave some exclusive insights into how he's been training for the big gig. And let me just say. You can tell he's been putting in the work; he looks great!
Training For The Big Debut
I'm sure there's no correct way to train for a WWE match. But let me tell you, if there were, Jelly Roll would be doing it. He said on his process, "I have been training! I'm announcing this first on your show. I have quietly been living in Orlando for about four weeks at the PC (WWE Performance Center). I show up every day like a piece of furniture over there, they can't keep me out. I'm there from the moment they open up till they close. I'm obsessed."
Describing yourself as a piece of furniture in a gym is way more hardcore than I thought it would be to tell you the truth.
He then went on to talk about how the Undertaker actually came in and gave him some pointers.
Jelly Roll said, "The entire three hours [The Undertaker] and Michelle (his wife) stood on the ropes and just gave me pointer after pointer. Kevin Owens, Jacob Fatu came in and wrestled with me for like three or four hours. These dudes are pouring into me because they see that I'm trying to take it as seriously as I can and that my heart is just to bring [more excitement to wrestling]."
This man is currently living my dream, so I hope he just keeps killing it.
