In August, country music fan favorite Ella Langley took time way from touring. She said in a statement on Instagram that she was "fighting sickness" and needed "to rest and focus on my health...." Langley went back on the road recently. She seems to be rejuvenated now in spirit and soul. The "You Look Like You Love Me" singer shared her innermost thoughts with the crowd at her concert in Madison, Illinois. Her respite obviously helped her gain insight and clarity into who she is and where she is going.

Langley's Life Has Been Hectic But She Sorted Everything Out
She has had loads of things happening lately. A big night at the ACM awards in May, never-ending speculation about a possible relationship with duet partner Riley Green (which they deny), and stardom that came fast. All that is hard to digest when you are just 26 like Langley is. So she stepped back for a while and took stock of her life and well-being.
At her concert, per Whiskey Riff, she talked frankly about what she learned about herself during that restorative hiatus. Before she swung into the song "Girl You're Taking Home," Langley had a heart-to-heart with the people who were there to see her.
Langley shared, "I've never let myself try for the plan B, because I was never going to accept that. It was going to be this or nothing else. Thank the Lord... dropping out of school was scary. But I believed in myself and I believed in doing the thing that I was supposed to do. Not trying for anything else, and I'm so, so thankful that I did because I know I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be."
She Appreciates The Person She Was
The singer went on, "Every day that I wake up, I know I'm doing the thing that I'm supposed to be doing, and I'm so grateful for that. And also what I'm grateful for is, the past version of myself. There's a lot of things I think that I think about, like, why? Why him?...Why didn't you say that thing? You know, your shower thoughts. You're in there having an argument, how it could've gone type thing. Recently, over my break, one of my biggest takeaways from it was, I'm so grateful for her."
