Fate and the internet intervened, showing once again that there are good people in the world.

Lainey Wilson Loved the Video

As the video went viral, it caught the attention of the singer-songwriter. She wrote, "Superstar!! Killlllled it, sister."

Shortly after Wilson commented, Amelia's mom shared that they would be seeing Wilson perform at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, near Saint Louis, on Oct. 16.

On the night of the concert, Amelia and Wilson finally crossed paths backstage, where they performed a song together.

Wilson Couldn't Believe It

Amelia, dressed in the same bell-bottoms she wore at the pageant, walked up to the "Watermelon Moonshine" singer, who immediately gave her a hug.

"I get to meet the real Lainey Wilson?" she asks with a smile.

Then the two began singing "Somewhere Over Laredo" together, with Wilson letting Amelia shine with a solo at the end of the verse.

"I just want to put her in my pocket," Wilson says as she gives Amelia another hug.

Speaking of Bellbottoms...

Wilson has had quite a year, hosting the CMA Awards soon and celebrating her engagement to her fiancé, Delvin "Duck" Hodges, since February.

When asked during an interview what Wilson has wardrobe Wilson has planned for her wedding day, she said she hadn't entirely ruled out her signature bellbottoms.

"Maybe for the after party. Maybe for the reception," she said. "We'll see, I mean, I haven't gone shopping just yet."

Whatever she wears, she admits that "Duck will probably be shocked."

As for hosting the CMAs, she says she's ready to have some fun with her peers.

"I like to run my mouth, and I love country music," she said. "I go way back with these people. Like, let me make fun of Luke Combs, please."
