Sometimes a country music artist has the opportunity to change a person's life, lift their burden, or just make their day happier. Country singer Jay Allen did that recently for a very special couple. Per People, Brett Fine, Jr. is engaged to Alyssa Kempf. As joyous as that news is, they have a challenging reality to deal with. Fine has glioblastoma, an incurable form of brain cancer. Allen serenaded the pair with a touching song, "This Time Tomorrow."

Allen Described the Loving Pair on Social Media
The singer posted this sweet message on Instagram. "She said yes! Brett is only 27 and was diagnosed with incurable gioblastoma brain cancer. He was recently given a financial gift from @thistimetomorrowfoundation so he decided to buy a ring and propose to Allyssa on a lake in Indiana surrounded by family and friends. Please follow @brettfine21 and @allyssa_kempf and help share their beautiful story."
A Video Shows Him Singing to Them
A video accompanies his post. Fine and Kempf are seated together on a sofa. She is wearing a black, one-shouldered gown. He is dressed in a dark suit and a bow tie with a cap on his head. Allen is standing between them behind the sofa. At one point while he sings, Fine gently kisses Kempf's hand. The entire moment is a wonderfully tender and poignant one.
Fine Bought Kempf a Ring
The This Time Tomorrow Foundation's mission as stated on its web site is to "provide[s] direct financial support to individuals and families fighting all forms of cancer." Per the outlet, Fine was given funds by the Foundation. Rather than spending that money on himself for expenses related to his illness, however, he generously purchased an engagement ring for Kempf.
Allen Has a Deeply Personal Connection to the Song and to Cancer
He previously posted on Instagram the moving story of his grandmother. Allen wrote, "I lost my grandma to lung cancer when I was 17. She came to live with us for the last month of her life, and I still think about it. Even though her body was failing her, I'll never forget how positive she remained until the very end. I pray this song becomes an echo of my grandma's wisdom and can be an anthem to those who need it."
