The 39-year-old singer announced over social media last week that he and his wife are adding a baby to their family.

Is Paul Cauthen Expecting a Boy or a Girl?

The post reveals four ultrasound photos and a tiny leather jacket with the words "Lil' Velvet" on it.

"@elizabethcauthen and I are beyond excited to announce a baby boy is on the way," the caption said. "Spring 2026!!! We have been trying for over four years now. It's God's timing not ours. We are ready to bring Lil Velvet into this world."

Fans and peers were obviously excited for the couple.

"MOM and DAD," wrote Margo Price. "Happy for yall"

Michael Landingham, a contestant on The Voice, added, "Paul congratulations on a baby boy! My wife delivered our boy Hayden Presley 5 days ago. It's the most amazing thing ever, you will be forever changed!"

Singer Tommy Ash then added, "Congrats!! You two will be the cutest parents."

It's Been a Rollercoaster of a Year for Cauthen

Earlier this year, the "Ain't No Crime" artist had to cancel his tour and took a break from social media. In a video, he shared with his fans that he had pneumonia, and his health began to decline.

"I was taking a bunch of steroids to get me through those shows," the singer said. "Something woke me up and I was blue in my lips and white in my face."

A few weeks later, Cauthen visited the Cooper Clinic in Dallas for a checkup. That's when the doctor told him a mass was found in his right thyroid.

"They told me that it is papillary carcinoma and that it's cancer," Cauthen said.

"I have had a lot of time to reflect and realize that life is short and precious," he later added.

Then, in a message he posted several weeks ago, Cauthen shared that he "got his health right and remembered why" he continues to perform.

"I'm called to do this," he wrote on Instagram. "The Lord has blessed me in countless ways. I turned my back, I selfishly chose my way instead of just listening to the calling."

"Thankful for all of you who made it out to all my shows. We wouldn't do it without you. Boy do we have some songs coming for you!!!! Album is about mixed and ready for master. The band is hot. The team is tight. It just feels right. God bless you!"

It sounds like exciting times are ahead for Cauthen, and we send him our congratulations!
