Husband-And-Wife Country Duo and Army Veteran Just Delivered the “Best National Anthem Ever” in Wake of Dallas Cowboys Players’ Death

After performing "The Star-Spangled Banner" on Monday Night Football, fans want this duo to do it again in Santa Clara this February.

The Halftime Show is all locked up (we think). However, fans have selected their frontrunner to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Super Bowl LX. The game will take place in Santa Clara, California, on February 8.

This husband-and-wife duo delivered a powerful performance of the National Anthem before the Dallas Cowboys faced the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football earlier this week. Some players were even moved to tears.

You can check out the performance and the online reaction below.

The War + Treaty Performed the Anthem at the Super Bowl

It was Michael Trotter Jr. who kicked off the song, singing while a single acoustic guitar played the familiar tune.

But when his wife, Tanya Trotter, comes in like "the rocket's red glare," you can't help but get chills.

Tanya then takes over, using her vocal range to show that "our flag was still there."

The duo then works together to remind us all that we live "in the land of the free, and the home of the brave."

The Dallas Cowboys were still mourning the tragic death of Marshawn Kneeland. The performance followed a moment of silence for the defensive end, which may explain why players were so emotional. But even viewers could see that even Raiders coach Pete Carroll was visibly moved by The War + Treaty's performance.

The Fans Want the Duo To Perform at the Super Bowl

The internet was stunned by The War + Treaty's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner."

"The War and Treaty just performed the most incredible rendition of the national anthem that I've ever heard in my life, holy hell," wrote one user.

Another fan wrote that the "War and The Treaty just put on the best National anthem ever on a Monday night."

Others said the NFL should lock the duo down to perform the anthem for the Super Bowl.

'"They should bring The War and Treaty back for the Super Bowl anthem," one fan wrote.

Another one added, "Let's run that National Anthem back for the Super Bowl.  Outstanding, War and Treaty!"

The War + Treaty were the first Black duo nominated for "Duo of the Year" by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
