Gavin Adcock might not seem like the sentimental type, especially if we're going off his recent interactions with Zach Bryan. However, he shared in an interview with Evan Paul that there's one country song that always makes him tear up. Spoiler alert, it's not a Beyoncé song.

Adcock says, If you listen hard enough, Alan Jackson's song, "Remember When", sounds a lot like "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. "If I try to sing along to it and I really focus in on the lyrics, it's kinda like that song 'Landslide,'" he shared. "It's just about passing the time and how everyone's just heading in one direction."
The singer first gained notoriety by posting songs on social media in 2021. After suffering a football injury that kept him from playing at Georgia Southern, he decided to turn to music. His 2023 single, "A Cigarette", became his claim to fame and brought him a deal with Warner Music Nashville.
Adcock doesn't come from a musical background, but has been very honest with his listeners about how he comes up with his song ideas. "I'm not very musically minded," he told Country Central. "I write a lot driving down the road. I'll just hit record, start freestyling on a beat, and see what I come up with." The country singer even admitted, "Every single person is not going to like every single song, but you've got to do your best just to give them a variety. Every time I let out a song, it might be country, rock, something a little weird, and that's okay."
To me, it sounds like this guy is a lot deeper than people give him credit for.
Gavin Adcock Gets Personal With New Song, "Perfect Man"
Gavin Adcock is probably best known for creating a rowdy atmosphere at concerts and starting drama with country stars like Zach Bryan and Charley Crockett. Hell, he even dropped an album called Own Worst Enemy this year, and it's pretty obvious who inspired the title.
Gavin's always been unapologetically honest in his music, but lately, he's also been a little more introspective, especially with new songs like "Perfect Man". The new tune showcases a deeper side to the country singer and proves that he can be a lot more than just beer cans and late nights. Take a look at the video for "Perfect Man" below.
He shared what the song means to him in a recent interview. 'Perfect Man' is a song to bring the world together instead of tearing it apart," Adcock shared. "I didn't write this for 'perfect Christians', it's for sinners like me that are just trying to be a little better every day. Just because you're a sinner doesn't mean you can't turn things around."
Fans can listen to Gavin's new song "Perfect Man" now, wherever they listen to music.
