Mavericks Frontman Celebrated in Song as He Continues Cancer Fight

Raul Malo is waging an intense fight with advanced cancer. The Mavericks frontman was the subject of a heartfelt two-night tribute at Ryman Auditorium, one of the most hallowed venues in country music. He could not be present due to being hospitalized at the moment. However, you can be sure that Raul Malo, 60, was sincerely touched and very grateful for the supportive efforts of those who ares standing with him during his serious health crisis.

The gala occasion was titled Dance the Night Away: A 35-Year Musical Legacy Celebrating The Mavericks & Honoring Raul Malo. Per Parade, he posted an emotional message on
