Jonathan Majors' return to the big screen has taken an unexpected turn after a troubling on-set incident.
The Creed III and Ant-Man actor is currently filming his first movie in four years, but production has already drawn attention for safety concerns.
Footage has surfaced showing Majors falling through a window during a stunt sequence.
The film, produced by The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend, is now facing growing scrutiny behind the scenes.
Hollywood Actor Jonathan Majors Involved in Alarming On-Set Incident
In a video published by Deadline, Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne are seen filming an action scene.
As Kilcoyne's character appears to be shot, the pair stumble backward and crash through a set of blinds. They then fall out of frame, with audio capturing what sounds like glass shattering.
Crew members quickly rushed to assist the actors, who reportedly fell around six feet.
According to Deadline, the incident occurred after a window was replaced with "an unsecured sheet of tempered glass."
The glass had reportedly been installed for a later stunt that "did not involve any actors" and was meant to be shattered intentionally.
However, it was said to have been loosely fitted, which contributed to the accident.
The outlet reports the movie is titled Run Hide Fight Infidels, described as an "anthology sequel" to writer-director Kyle Rankin's 2020 action thriller Run Hide Fight.
Crew Concerns Grow as Production Issues Mount
Kilcoyne reportedly suffered injuries in the incident, requiring stitches "all over his hands."
"One crew member, who says they arrived on set after the incident to help reset the scene told Deadline on the condition of anonymity, 'When I got there, nobody mentioned anything about people falling out the window... It seemed weird to me,'" Deadline's Katie Campione wrote.
The production had already faced challenges, with IATSE previously calling a strike over reported labor issues. Now, safety concerns are intensifying as filming has continued into its fifth week.
Representatives for Majors have not commented on the incident. However, Kilcoyne's team stated that the actor "is doing well and was taken care of immediately by production."
They added that he "did not feel unsafe on set" and continues to have a "positive experience working on the project." Despite that, multiple crew members have reportedly walked off the job, citing ongoing concerns.
It has been claimed that there have been no formal meetings regarding complex stunts or the use of prop firearms, while additional incidents have been reported, including falling props and a rigged tree branch striking a set medic.
Production also reportedly had to change locations due to "the use of a space that was infested with black mold."
