The affected snack mixes, produced by John B. Sanfilippo and Son, were sold under Southern Style Nuts, Fisher, Squirrel Brand, and Good & Gather brands.
What Snack Products Are Affected by the Recall?
Good & Gather Mexican Street Corn-inspired trail mix was sold at Target. Other mixes are sold in stores, online, and by QVC.
These mixes use dry milk powder sourced from California Dairies, Inc. The company supplied the powdered milk used in 13 beverage mixes manufactured by the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, which were recalled last month, and in some flavors of Zapp's and Dirty brand potato chips recalled last week.
According to the FDA, the seasoning batches tested negative for Salmonella prior to use. However, John B. Sanfilippo and Son then issued the recall as a "precautionary measure." You can find a list of the affected products below.
CBS News reports that Target has since removed its snack mix from its stores and online. A spokesperson said, "At Target, we're committed to providing safe, high-quality products for our guests."

What If I Have the Recalled Products?
If you have one of the recalled products, do not consume it. You can immediately return the items to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Questions about the recall can be directed to John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. at 800-874-8734, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Central time.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Salmonella is a bacterium that causes infections "by eating raw or undercooked meat, poultry, and eggs or egg products, or by drinking unpasteurized milk."
Symptoms can include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps. They typically appear within 8 hours to 3 days after exposure.
While it can be life-threatening, most healthy people recover within a few days to a week without seeking medical help.
