We reported last month that Guy Fieri suffered a "freak accident."

"[I] slipped down a set of steps and one foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold," said the Food Network star. "So, you know, it extended me out. I looked like I was probably doing the splits, but when my right leg compressed into itself, the giveaway point, and the doctor said he's never seen — you know, in 20 years — he hasn't seen a tear in the biggest, thickest part of your quad in half. Yeah, it sucked."

The injury didn't stop the host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives from heading to Asheville, North Carolina, to film an upcoming episode of his hit show and hosting a bottle-signing event for his Santos Spirits tequila brand fans.

It's also not preventing him from going in front of the camera for a new show. Today, Jan. 29, Food Network announced that Flavortown Food Fight will debut on March 4.

What can viewers expect from this latest entry in the Fieri Flavortown franchise? We have the details below.

Flavortown Is the Setting for Guy Fieri's New Show

Until now, we believed that Flavortown was only located in the mind of the blond, spiky-haired Fieri. But in this culinary competition, the mythical location will be where three chefs compete at eateries inspired by the celebrity chef's life. This includes food carts, fine-dining restaurants, and fast-casual spots.

"For the first time in television history, we're opening the gates of Flavortown and inviting some of America's most talented chefs to showcase their skills in a never-ending list of off-the-hook restaurants that you'll only find here," Fieri said in a statement. "We've been building out this universe for years, and I'm stoked to finally invite everybody in!"

The 58-year-old star will test contestants' culinary knowledge and technical skills. The winner will win up to $20,000 and return to take on two new chefs in the next episode.

Fieri's son Hunter will appear for some of the show's challenges. There will also be two guests to help Fieri judge the food.

Even as the Mayor of Flavortown recovers from his injury, he isn't slowing down. In addition to his new show, Fieri is sporting a new look in an upcoming commercial for Bosch that will debut during the Super Bowl.
