All Country Grammy Records That Were Broken In 2025

The Grammy Awards were rather controversial this year. Whether you care about the Grammys or not, some country records were met and others were broken, setting the bar ever higher.

Although awards aren't a measure of an artist's skill and appreciation, it's always cool to see artists break the bar and set new records for other artists to try and beat. Thanks to the info provided by VegasInsider, we know that this year, three records were broken. See more below.

Country Records That Were Broken At The Grammys 2025

Beyoncé's inclusion in the Grammys has not been taken well by many country purists out there. However, the Queen Bee broke two country Grammy records herself.

She has become the first black female artist to win in the Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance categories, with Cowboy Carter and "II Most Wanted," respectively. What's cool about these records, is that no one can beat them.

Kacey Musgraves has also broken a record, as she is now the female artist with the most wins across the 4 country categories. Across all four country categories, Musgraves has seven categories. She used to be tied with Carrie Underwood, who has 6.

Musgraves' song "The Architect" won the Best Country Song category, helping her set this new record.

That's it as far as breaking or setting records goes for this year's Grammys. I wonder if Musgraves will extend or lose her lead next year.

Other Records That Were Met Or Extended At The Grammys 2025

Chris Stapleton has had a pretty good Grammys this year.

Chris Stapleton has extended his record as the most-awarded artist in the Best Country Solo Performance category with "It Takes A Woman." He has won the category a whopping five times now. His winning this year also made him the first artist to ever win consecutively in this category. Last year, he won the category with "White Horse."

Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally, who had co-written "The Architect," won the award for Best Country Song. She is now among the ranks of Lori McKenna, Chris Stapleton, and Josh Kear, who have each won this category 3 times.

So quite the busy Grammys for Musgraves and Stapleton. I wonder if they'll push past the boundaries they've set next year.
