Lainey Wilson and her fiancé, Devlin "Duck" Hodges, got engaged back in February. They have yet to tie the knot, leaving many fans wondering whether they'll ever completely seal the deal.

In an interview several months ago, Lainey revealed that she was initially in no rush to plan a big ceremony. It seemed that getting to the milestone of engagement was celebratory enough. "[Duck] made me wait for four years," she shared. "I'm gonna make him wait before we start planning this thing... I'm just playing, but I am so happy we haven't started planning yet."
She continued, "We're taking our time, and it's gonna be right, and it's gonna be beautiful and, you know, what it's supposed to be about."
Seeing as Lainey has close friends from all over the music business, there's no doubt the wedding will be special. However, it's definitely going to rack up a hefty guest list. And with that, the cost likely won't be in the lower range.
"She wants the best of the best," an (alleged) insider recently revealed to Star. "And it's got Devlin sweating over the cost."
We know how Devlin probably feels. Being out of the loop for this long has us sweating, too.
Lainey Wilson Almost Bought a Jet Ski, but Her Fiancé Said No
Hearing that the budget for this wedding might be on the higher end doesn't really come as a surprise. Especially since Lainey has been open about her spending habits in the past.
In an interview, Wilson talked about some of the things she's spent money on since making it big, and one of them nearly became a financial disaster.
"Me and Duck were actually at a place called Moby Dickys, which is our favorite restaurant ever," Wilson set the scene. "It's on the water and it's actually where we had our first date."
"I saw somebody drive up on a jet ski, and I was like, 'We gon' get a jet ski, today, we gettin' a jet ski.' By the time I finished the beer, he had already talked me out of it." The singer admitted, "I was ready to do something crazy, I was ready to get a turquoise jet ski." She acknowledged that her fiancé talked her out of the purchase, and "long story short, [she] thought about it, but it didn't happen."
If that's any indication of what Lainey's wedding will be like, we can't wait to see what the "4X4XU" singer has planned.
