A sticky-fingered Amazon delivery driver brought new meaning to the term cat burglar during his recent shift in California.

Shortly after dropping off a package at a Bakersfield residence, a male driver stole a cat from the front porch, leaving the pet's owner devastated.
The Amazon employee initially reached down to pet Junie, a resident cat that belongs to homeowner Brenda Wilson.
Before long, the delivery driver scooped the cat up and drove off with her, the Ring doorbell footage showed.
"Utter disbelief that anybody would have the nerve to do that. I'm just shocked," Wilson told KGET.
"I kind of wish she fought back. But that's just not really in her nature," the cat mom added.
"Maybe he just really thought she was the most chill cat ever. And was just like, 'Hey, let me test it.' He kind of made a sound to her. And you can see that as he got closer, she meowed at him, and was like, stranger danger."
Junie has been a beloved member of the Wilson family since 2022.
In a Facebook update, Wilson claimed the man is a former neighbor who lived down the road earlier this year with his wife, the Daily Mail reported.
Wilson claims that the cat thief may be confusing Junie for his lost pet.
"Apparently, they may believe that Junie is their MALE cat," she wrote on Facebook.
The Wilson Family Won't Press Charges in Exchange For Cat's Safe Return
An investigation for 'theft of a cat' is underway, the Kern County Sheriff's Office confirmed to KGET. No arrests have been made.
"We just want Junie home, and we won't follow through with the charges," she said.
Wilson was informed that the driver is not a direct employee of Amazon, making it difficult to locate the pet thief.
The distraught pet owner noted that he no longer lives in the neighborhood, and she is unsure of his current whereabouts.
