Ashley McBryde To Open Nashville Bar With a New Twist

Lots of major country music stars have a bar that bears their name in Nashville. That in itself is not unusual. Ashley McBryde also plans to have her own brand new watering hole called Redemption in Music City as of August 28. But when the doors open for the first time, patrons will notice that the singer's lively space has a really new - and to many, very welcome - non-alcoholic twist.

Redemption is located in the multi-story building on Broadway housing Eric Church's popular bar, Chief's. McBryde, 42, enthusiastically posted about the new venue recently.

McBryde Described What Makes Redemption Unique

Per Country Now via Instagram she wrote, "Broadway's getting a new kind of bar. It's called Redemption, and it's for all of us. Since deciding to live sober, I've wanted to create a space that normalizes non-alcoholic options first and is still a real bar. a place where people can connect, unwind, and hear original songs. Redemption is coming soon to the 5th floor of @chiefsbroadway. I can't wait for you to see it."

According to the outlet, "While traditional drinks are still available, the spotlight is on the creative, inclusive options that don't require alcohol to feel celebratory." Visitors can pick beverages from a "zero-proof" cocktail menu that allows them to have fun without imbibing anything stronger than they wish.

She Has Been on Her Own Sobriety Journey for Three Years

Launching a place like Redemption was important for McBryde. Per the outlet via Rolling Stone, she shared, "As someone who is three years sober, the typical response to 'do you have anything Non-Alcoholic?' is either 'why did you come to a bar if you aren't gonna drink?' or 'you can have soda water and a lime I guess.'

She added, "Some of my favorite places to socialize became wildly unaccommodating when the only thing that changed was what was in my cup. It was vital that I create a space where notdrinking is the forethought - normalized. You can get alcohol drinks in Redemption too, because everyone is welcome."

Redemption will have a warm, inviting vibe, and of course, plenty of live music from talented emerging artists.
