Shane Whalen has a passion for music & storytelling which led him to Nashville in 2014. As American Songwriter's Director of Community, he leads all communities initiatives including Contests, Camps, Membership & E-commerce. Originally from Dallas, Texas, he graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Economics. His accomplishments include releasing five full-length albums, producing a feature film starring Luke Wilson & Norman Reedus, and helping create the premium consumer brand Joe’s Jeans as its Chief Operating Officer. He’s a proud husband & father of two along with their 200 lb Saint Pyrenees pup named Dexter.
