Country Music Star's Concert Disrupted by Lightning Strike

When Brad Paisley sings, the heavens roar. Or at least that is what happened the other day in Florida. Lightning struck the venue where he was performing, per pennlive.com. That must have been pretty scary for him and the crowd.

Paisley was giving a concert at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine at the time. The incident was preserved on a TikTok video. Paisley is on stage, energetically singing and doing his professional thing. Suddenly, the jumbo video screen behind him shows static-y interference. Paisley seems a little bewildered and shaken. Anyone would be!

Per the outlet, "The sound then distorts, followed by the mic letting out an unusual noise." Lightning evidently "sent a shock through the venue's system. The tense moment likely had everyone on their toes."

Everyone Was Badly Jarred

Per the outlet, fans breathlessly commented on the unusual disruption. One noted, "I had a lady almost jump over my chair onto my back. It was crazy!" From someone else, "That made me jump and the second one on the right side of the stage was close too."

The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame announced their Class of 2025 inductees on August 6, per musicrow.com. Paisley is among them. The other distinguished honorees are Tony Martin, Steve Bogard, Emmylou Harris, Don Cook, and Jim Lauderdale.

The induction ceremony will be held in the Music City Center on October 6. The glittering occasion is actually called the 55th Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala. These half-dozen gifted songwriters will take their rightful places beside the 247 people already enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

His Distinguished Musical Background

Paisley is in the contemporary songwriter/artist category for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. He showed an obvious interest in and a definite flair for music even as a youngster. The singer and guitarist crafted his first song at the tender age of 13.
