Brooke Hogan Reveals Why She Skipped Hulk Hogan's Funeral

Brooke Hogan has been estranged from her parents for a few years now. But despite this, their separation has nothing to do with why she skipped out on Hulk Hogan's funeral.

August 5th marked the funeral service for the legendary WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan. The service was held in Tampa, Florida, but wasn't attended by Brooke Hogan or her immediate family.

In an Instagram post, Brooke Hogan paid tribute to her dad in her own way. In a carousel of 12 photos, Brooke shared her time at a beach with her husband, Steven Olesky, and two children, in memory of her dad.

"My father hated the morbidity of funerals," she started. "He didn't want one. And although I know people grieve in many ways - and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how...privately...the way that made me feel the closest to him."

In a way, spending time at the beach was the most sincere way to reflect on and grieve her late father.

"The only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves... and the sunset."

Brooke continued her message, "Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul."

"We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved. Molly loved the water. I think she'll be a 'little fish' as you called me. We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you."

To conclude her tera-jerking post, she wrote, "Rest in heaven, Daddy."

Despite the estrangement that headlines seem to love, Brooke only had love and respect for her father in her beautiful tribute.
